For one of our clients HRMatch is looking for an independent and proactive 

Senior Buyer 

The position
 
In this role you are responsible for sourcing and managing the supply of 3rd party finished products and/or co-manufacturing services from suppliers that add value in terms of Quality, Service, Cost, Cash and Innovation. You develop and implement sourcing strategies and supplier development plans, in close cooperation with the stakeholders.
 
As Senior Buyer you lead the purchasing function for 3rd party suppliers and you are a linking pin to Marketing, R&D, Quality and Finance. In that role you will be leading or supporting cross functional productivity, innovation and other  projects.  You will maintain relevant administrative files and systems for your portfolio of 3rd party suppliers in terms of pricing, contracts, claims, key correspondence, master data and quality system. 
You are responsible for an evolving portfolio of around 80 finished product specifications, currently supplied by international finished products suppliers to 25 country sales units. You report hierarchically to the Sourcing and Supplier Development Manager. You will functionally manage 1 buyer.

Your profile
 
You have a minimum level equivalent to Bachelor’s degree with 3-6 years of experience in purchasing, or a similar role, preferably within Food Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical or Retail Industry. Experience with 3rd party manufacturing is a preference. You have proven experience in tendering, negotiating, contracting and supply market research. 
You are able to work within project teams and in ambiguous environment. You are able to recognize and seize business opportunities. You combine decisiveness with sound judgement. You are able to generate new ideas to move forward and to convince others. You look for improving internal and external ways of working in order to maximize the value created for the business and customers. 
You are enthusiastic, energetic, results driven, with strongly developed communication, analytical and strategic skills. You understand the basics of finance.  
You have a very good command of English and French both written and spoken.
